Introducing the stunning 1997 Contest 48, a remarkable cruiser that seamlessly combines elegance and performance. With an overall length of 14.75 meters, this vessel features a sturdy fiberglass hull with a wing keel, ensuring stability and smooth sailing. Powered by a reliable 135-hp Perkins inboard diesel engine, the Isabella is equipped for adventure with 4034 hours of experience on the clock. With room for up to six guests, the interior offers three comfortable cabins, two toilets and two shower stalls, perfect for longer trips. The electric anchor winch enhances convenience, making anchoring a breeze. The vessel's design is complemented by a sophisticated 4-bladed bronze Max Prop vane propeller, which provides efficient propulsion. Whether exploring coastal waters or embarking on a long voyage, the Isabella promises an exceptional cruising experience, combining comfort, style and seaworthiness in one impressive package. The vessel is fully equipped and arranged so that everything can be operated from the cockpit so single handed sailing is possible. The well lined fixed aluminum sprayhood offers good shelter.
This Contest 48 is characterized by a specially designed aluminum spray hood.
The spray hood gives the crew a very sheltered place at sea, while the view forward through the glass windows optimal. The wipers are of great value when the weather is rougher. When it rains, the spray hood can be easily closed with an aft sailcloth, often making it unnecessary to put on sailing clothes. This rear sail creates a semi dockhouse where, in colder weather, the heat remains well inside.
This Contest is suitable for sailing alone. Everything can be operated from behind the steering wheel:
- sail setting and reefing hydraulic, 3x Reckmann for mainsail, jib and cutter, in addition to jib sheet
mainsail sheet there are no extra lines in the cockpit.
- 4 electric winches
- bow thruster. (also bow thruster controls at the forepeak and aft deck)
- operation of electric anchor winch (also operation at the anchor itself)
State of maintenance is optimal.
Besides the normal annual maintenance, many years by MIJS later by Atlantic in Harlingen, are over the years many things extra addressed e.g. :
